Edson RCMP arrest male on four warrants out of Edmonton

Edson, Alberta – On Nov. 15, 2021, at 11:55 p.m., Edson RCMP were conducting patrols in the town of Edson and located a male who was known by police to be on conditions of house arrest, and who was wanted on four warrants out of Edmonton. The male tried to flee however was quickly apprehended by the RCMP officers.

The outstanding warrants were for:

· Failing to comply with a probation order,

· Failing to comply with conditions of a release order (x3)

The 43-year-old male, identified as Jason Pelletier, was also charged with five new criminal code charges:

· Failing to comply with conditions of a Release Order (x4)

· Resisting a peace officer

After a judicial hearing Pelletier did not speak to bail and was remanded into custody. He is next scheduled to appear in Hinton Provincial court on Dec. 1, 2021.

As these matters are now before the courts, no further details can be provided.
