Peace Regional RCMP heavy police presence in Grimshaw, Alberta – UPDATE

Grimshaw, Alberta – On Nov. 21, 2021, Peace Regional RCMP received a report of a break and enter to a property. Another complaint was received regarding a stolen vehicle at approximately 4 p.m. Later that same day at approximately 9:30 p.m., Peace Regional RCMP received a report of a stolen vehicle, along with stolen firearms that had occurred in the Grimshaw area.

Peace Regional RCMP General Investigation Section (GIS), along with the Western Alberta District (WAD) RCMP GIS, conducted an investigation into all of these matters that resulted in the RCMP obtaining a warrant to search a residence in Grimshaw for a number of items, including stolen firearms. On Nov. 23, 2021, the search warrant was executed with the assistance of the Alberta RCMP Emergency Response Team in the area of 45 avenue and 53 street in Grimshaw.

Peace Regional RCMP GIS and WAD GIS’ presence at the residence will continue for several hours as their investigation into this matter continues. The Alberta RCMP Emergency Response Team’s involvement in this matter has now ended.
