Edson RCMP arrest and charge female with mischief, possession of drugs, and resisting peace officer

Edson, Alberta — On Nov. 25, 2021, at approximately 9:50 p.m., Edson RCMP received a call from a citizen advising of two people possibly stealing from vehicles in the area of 3 Avenue and 53 street in Edson.

Edson RCMP attended the location and arrested Christine Hennessy (34) from Edson, and as a result of further investigation she is charged with:

· Mischief under $5,000

· Resisting a peace officer

· Possession of illegal substances (x2)

Following a judicial hearing, Hennessy was released from custody and is scheduled to appear in Edson Provincial Court on Jan. 18, 2022.

“The Edson RCMP would like to thank the public for reporting crime in progress,” says S/Sgt Christian Delisle, Detachment Commander of the Edson RCMP Detachment. “We would also like to remind everyone the importance to making sure their vehicles are locked and no valuables are left inside.”
