Overdue snowmobilers located deceased after driving into open water

Larson Lake, Saskatchewan – On November 30, 2021 at approximately 1:45 p.m. Wollaston Lake RCMP received a report of two overdue snowmobilers.

Investigation determined that two adult male snowmobilers from the community left on November 29, 2021 to get wood in the Larson Lake area and had not returned. Local community volunteers, Wollaston Lake RCMP and the Canadian Rangers began searching for the men.

The males, who were 35 and 36 years old, were located deceased at Larson Lake later that day. Initial investigation has determined that the snowmobile they were driving entered open water.
