Camrose Police Service Report to January 8, 2022

Camrose, Alberta – January 8, 2022 – Staff at a west end business their video surveillance which showed a male stealing a power tool. The evidence is being reviewed by Police to identify the suspect.

January 6, 2022

A male reported that his light grey 2005 GMC Sierra quad cab truck had been stolen overnight while parked at his residence on 47 street in the 4700 block.

A west end business reported the theft of a jacket. Staff observed the male leaving in a small red car and provided the license plate number. Police are investigating the theft.

January 5, 2022

An employee at a grocery store contacted Police after observing someone trying to steal his vehicle in the parking lot. The suspect vehicle was described as a red four-door truck with a toolbox in the back with the word “Magnum” in silver & white letters. The vehicle could not be located. Several hours later Police received another complaint from an employee at another business stating that someone had also attempted to steal her vehicle. Police are investigating.

A business in the east end of Camrose reported several windows had been broken on their company vehicles. Police seized evidence on scene and are continuing to investigate the mischief.

January 4, 2022

Police received a request for a check on welfare. The 55 year old male was at his residence but was in medical distress. He was taken to St. Mary’s hospital by EMS.

A gas bar reported a female had gotten upset in the store and pushed over a display. Police conducted a traffic stop of a vehicle matching the description provided by staff and confirmed that the operator was responsible for the damages. The female was escorted back to the business where an apology was made followed by her being issued a trespass notice.

Police assistance was requested to assist with a male who was not in a correct state of mind. Family assisted in transporting the male to St. Mary’s hospital.
