Strathmore RCMP responds to vehicle vs pedestrian collision east of Langdon, Alberta

Langdon, Alberta – On Jan. 14, 2022, around 6 p.m., Strathmore RCMP received a 911 call of a motor vehicle collision involving a pedestrian along Dead Horse Road, east of Langdon.

Strathmore and Langdon RCMP, Langdon Fire Department, Emergency Medical Services and STARS responded.

Preliminary investigation reveals a SUV was travelling eastbound when it appears to have collided with a male pedestrian who was walking on the road.

STARS transported the 41-year-old pedestrian to a Calgary area hospital for life threatening injuries. The 50-year-old female driver and the 15-year-old male passenger of the vehicle were uninjured.

The road was not passable for approximately 4 hours, though traffic was not adversely affected.

Alberta RCMP Collision Analyst was engaged and is assisting Strathmore and Langdon RCMP in their on-going investigation.
