UPDATE: Medicine Hat male arrested and charged in the death of Dylan Denault of Brooks, Alberta

Redcliff, Alberta – On Jan. 13, 2022, after nearly a two-year investigation, Alberta RCMP Major Crimes Unit have arrested and charged a male in the death of Dylan Denault of Brooks, Alta., who was 27-year-old at the time.

Julian Conrad Morris (32) from Medicine Hat has been charged with one count of second degree murder.

After a judicial hearing, Morris was remanded to custody and will next be appearing on Jan. 20, 2022, in Medicine Hat Provincial Court.

As these matters are now before the courts, no further details can be released.

Alberta RCMP Major Crimes Unit investigating suspicious death – Update

Redcliff, Alta. – An autopsy was conducted on Jan. 15, 2020, at the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner in Calgary and the manner of death was determined to be a homicide. The victim is a 27-year-old male from Brooks, Alta., and his name will not be released.

RCMP Major Crimes continues to investigate and it is not believed the public is at risk. No further information is available at this time.

Alberta RCMP Major Crimes Unit investigating suspicious death

Redcliff, Alta. – On Jan. 13, 2020, at approximately 11:00 a.m., Redcliff RCMP responded to a report of a deceased male located on a rural road south of Medicine Hat, Alta. and east of Highway 3. Responding RCMP determined that the death was suspicious and the Major Crimes Unit has taken carriage of the investigation.

RCMP members, including the Forensic Identification Section, remain on scene to conduct an examination.

An autopsy of the male is scheduled for Jan. 15, 2020.

No further information is available. The RCMP will provide an update when further information becomes available.
