Edmonton Police seeking witnesses to Jan. 12th hit-and-run pedestrian collision

Edmonton, Alberta – EPS Major Collision Investigations Section (MCIS) is looking for witnesses to a Jan. 12, 2022 hit-and-run collision, which sent a 39-year-old male pedestrian to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

On Wednesday, Jan. 12, 2022 at approximately 7:30 p.m., a pedestrian was walking southbound across 112 Avenue at 87 Street when he was struck by a vehicle travelling eastbound on 112 Avenue. The vehicle, believed to be a 2018-2020 dark-coloured Honda Accord, subsequently fled the scene, while leaving the injured male lying on the street.

Paramedics treated and transported the male to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Police are looking for the newer model, dark-coloured Honda Accord, which sustained damage to the front end during the collision.

Anyone that witnessed this collision or has dashcam video of this Jan. 12th incident at 112 Avenue and 87 Street is asked to contact the EPS at 780-423-4567 or #377 from a cell phone.
