Foothills County RCMP locate stolen vehicle and charge lone occupant with theft, weapons and breach charges; “Possession of explosive (pipe bomb)”

Foothills County, Alberta – On Jan. 24, 2022 Foothills County RCMP with the assistance of Okotoks Municipal RCMP responded to a complaint of a possible stolen vehicle southbound on Highway 2. The vehicle was located by RCMP members in Aldersyde, Alta., with a lone female occupant. The vehicle was confirmed to be stolen and the female was arrested. A search of the vehicle located stolen property and weapons.

Jordan OGDEN (31) has been charged with:

· Theft over $5000.00

· Theft under $5000.00

· Possession of weapon for dangerous purpose

· Possession of explosive (pipe bomb)

· Numerous breach charges stemming from four separate release orders

Following a judicial hearing, Ogden was remanded into custody. Ogden is scheduled to appear in Turner Valley Provincial Court on Feb. 8, 2022.

The Foothills County RCMP are continuing to investigate this matter.
