Fort Saskatchewan RCMP seize loaded handgun and drugs from traffic stop

Fort Saskatchewan, Alberta – On January 25, 2022 at 2:20 am, Fort Saskatchewan RCMP conducted a traffic stop on 84 street, where a driver was showing signs of impairment. RCMP observed cocaine and cannabis in the vehicle and the male driver was subsequently arrested.

A search of the vehicle led to the seizure of $5250.00 in Canadian currency, a loaded 9 mm handgun, an 18 round capacity magazine, a knife, and four cellular devices.

Daqwan Roshayne Howard Lee (27) of Edmonton has been charged with:

• unauthorized possession of a firearm (x2)

• unsafe storage of a firearm

• possession of a prohibited weapon

• possession of a firearm in a motor vehicle

• possession of a firearm with a tampered serial device

• weapons possession contrary to an Order (x3)

Following a judicial interim release, Lee was remanded into custody and is scheduled to appear in Court on January 27, 2022.
