Leduc County, Alberta – Traffic flow has resumed in the area of Highway 814 and Township Road 502 in Leduc County following two collisions.
Preliminary investigation revealed a pickup truck was travelling north bound and collided head on with a south bound SUV one-mile south of the intersection of Highway 814 and Township Road 502 in Leduc County.
The driver of the pickup truck, a 75-year-old male from Beaumont, Alta. was assessed for injuries and released on scene.
The driver of the SUV, a 29-year-old female from Edmonton, Alta. was transported to local area hospital with minor injuries.
A second collision occurred between responding emergency vehicles and three occupants in the ambulance were transported to a local area hospital as a precaution.
Leduc RCMP, along with an RCMP Collision Reconstructionist continue to investigate the cause of the collisions.
No further updates are anticipated.
BACKGROUND
Leduc County, Alberta – (10:33 AM) On Jan. 31, 2022 at 9:36 a.m., Leduc RCMP were dispatched to a serious two vehicle collision in the area of Highway 814 and Township Road 502 in Leduc County.
A second collision has since occurred in the same area. Traffic in the area is being diverted around the collision scene and is expected to continue for several hours.

Motorists are asked to avoid the area and plan an alternate route.
The collision remains under investigation however road conditions are believed to be a contributing factor. The RCMP Traffic Analyst is assisting in the investigation.
