Big River, Saskatchewan – On January 27, 2022, Saskatchewan RCMP’s Prince Albert Crime Reduction Team executed a search warrant at a residence east of Big River in connection to an ongoing investigation.
Officers located and seized:
approximately 53 grams of suspected cocaine
approximately 95 grams of suspected methamphetamine
approximately 840 grams of marijuana
three firearms and ammunition
a variety of drug trafficking paraphernalia

Two individuals were arrested at the residence. Harley Vallentgoed and Celeste Wilson, both from the Big River area have been charged with:
2 counts, possession for the purpose of trafficking (cocaine and methamphetamine), Section 5(2), Controlled Drugs and Substances Act
1 count, possession of property obtained by crime over $5000, Section 354(1)(a), Criminal Code
1 count, possession of weapon for dangerous purpose, Section 88(2), Criminal Code
1 count, unsafe storage of firearms, Section 86(2), Criminal Code
1 count, unauthorized possession of a firearm, Section 91(3) Criminal Code
Vallentgoed is also charged with:
1 count, trafficking, Section 5(1), Controlled Drugs and Substances Act
Vallentgoed and Wilson will appear in court on Big River First Nation on March 15, 2022.
