Clearwater County, Alberta – On Feb. 6, 2022, Sundre RCMP were notified of a theft of 30 trail cameras and nine salt blocks in the Williams Creek Road area that had occurred just days earlier.
Images captured on trail camera’s show that on Feb. 3, 2022, two suspects on snowmobiles attended the Williams Creek Road/Valley area around 1 p.m. and left the area around 6 p.m. It is believed that the snowmobiles were loaded onto a vehicle or trailer at a pull out in the area of Kilometer 1 of the Williams Creek Road.
All of the stolen cameras were Gardepro A3s Trail Game Cameras, green and black in colour, with a total value of $6000.
Between Sept.1, 2021 and Oct. 8, 2021 10 Gardepro A3s Trail Game Cameras were also stolen from the same area with a total value of $2000. The investigation was unable to identify a suspect at that time.
Suspect 1 was operating a black snowmobile and was wearing:
· Grey/black helmet
· Red hoodie underneath the helmet,
· Grey/brown coloured jacket,
· Yellow gloves
Suspect 2 was operating a red and black snowmobile and was wearing:
· Yellow/white helmet
· Black Snowmobile jacket with some red writing on the back
