Fort McMurray, Alberta – RCMP would like to correct the reported deceased person is actually in critical life threatening condition and has been transported to hospital.
RCMP have cleared from the scene and traffic is open in all directions.
BACKGROUND
Fort McMurray, Alberta – (8:50 PM) Wood Buffalo RCMP are currently on scene of a multi vehicle collision involving a semi-truck on Highway 63 between Highway 881 and Stoney Mountain Road at mile marker 220.
Sadly, one person is confirmed deceased as a result of this collision.
Currently, North bound traffic is affected as emergency crews work to assist those involved. RCMP will have North bound traffic blocked for several hours as they investigate the circumstances into the collision.
