Cochrane RCMP lay charges in drug trafficking investigation

Cochrane, Alberta – On Feb. 3, 2022, during the course of an investigation, the Cochrane RCMP’s Crime Reduction Unit conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle. During the traffic stop, the driver was arrested and police located a substance believed to be cocaine.

Clinton Loukes (30), of Cochrane, Alta., was charged with one count of possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking.

After a Judicial Interim Release hearing, Loukes was released to appear in Cochrane Provincial Court on Mar. 8, 2022.

As this matter is now before the courts, no further details regarding the incident can be provided.
