Edmonton Police investigating fatal collision on Calgary Trail

Edmonton, Alberta – EPS Major Collision Investigations Section (MCIS) is investigating a collision that resulted in the death of a woman yesterday evening.

On Feb. 21 at approximately 6 p.m., a Honda Civic was crossing Calgary Trail near 54 Avenue and was struck on the passenger side by a Dodge Ram.


A 69-year-old female passenger in the car was taken to the hospital, where she succumbed to her injuries. Two other occupants of the car were taken to the hospital with minor injuries. The two occupants of the truck were not injured.

EPS Major Collisions Investigation Section (MCIS) is investigating. Neither speed nor driver impairment are believed to be factors in this collision.
