Red Deer County, Alberta – On Feb. 3, 2022, after a 4 month long investigation, the Blackfalds RCMP GIS Unit wit the assistance of Innisfail GIS, Red Deer Alert, Blackfalds Provincial Traffic Section, RCMP Police Dog Services, and Blackfalds Detachment members, executed a search warrant on England Way in Red Deer County.
As a result of the search police seized:
· 44 grams of suspected Fentanyl
· 11 grams of suspected Cocaine
· 9 grams of suspected Methamphetamine
· $4600 in Canadian Currency
· 10 firearms, 2 of which were loaded and prohibited
· Thousands of rounds of ammunition

Police have charged:
Scott Adam Mckay (40), of Red Deer County, with 62 offences including:
· Possession for the purpose of trafficking (x3)
· Careless use of a Firearm (x11)
· Fail to comply with release condition (x10)
· Possess weapon contrary to order (x24)
· Possession of a restricted firearm (x10)
· Possession of a Prohibited Firearm (2)
· Possession of property obtained by crime
· Operation of a motor vehicle while prohibited
Mckay was remanded in custody pending his next court appearance.
Jonathan Murray Pears (31), of Red Deer, has been charged with 23 offences including:
· Possession for the purpose of trafficking (x3)
· Careless use of a Firearm (x10)
· Unauthorized possession of a firearm (x8)
· Possession of a restricted firearm (x2)
Pears was released from custody with his next appearance on Mar. 3, 2022, in Red Deer Provincial Court.
Kayla Theriault (34), of no fixed address, has been charged with 24 offences including:
· Possession for the purpose of trafficking (x3)
· Careless use of a Firearm (x11)
· Unauthorized possession of a firearm (x8)
· Possession of a restricted firearm (x2)
Theriault was released from custody with her next appearance on Mar. 3, 2022, in Red Deer Provincial Court.
