Edmonton, Alberta – An autopsy has been completed in the death of a female in southwest Edmonton.
At approximately 10:15 a.m., Saturday, March 5, 2022, Southwest Branch patrol members responded to a check on welfare request at a residence in the area of Ramsay Crescent and 43 Avenue.
Upon arrival, police discovered Dagmar Petersen, 85, deceased inside the residence. The death was deemed suspicious at the time, and Homicide Section took over the investigation.
On Tuesday, March 8, 2022, the Edmonton Medical Examiner completed an autopsy on Petersen. The cause of death was a blunt force head injury, and the manner of death is homicide.
Homicide investigators continue to seek information about this incident and encourage anyone with surveillance video (including doorbell camera and dash cam footage) from the neighborhood to contact police immediately.

Edmonton, Alberta – Police are requesting citizens check for vehicle dashcam footage in relation to a suspicious death that occurred in southwest Edmonton.
At approximately 10:15 a.m., Saturday, March 5, 2022, Southwest Branch patrol members responded to a check on welfare request at a residence in the area of Ramsay Crescent and 43 Avenue.
Upon arrival, police discovered a deceased 85-year-old female inside a residence.

An autopsy is scheduled for Tuesday, March 8, 2022. Homicide Section detectives continue to investigate.
