Red Deer RCMP seek witnesses to sexual assault at a pub; “beverage had been left unattended, the woman returned to have a drink”

Red Deer, Alberta – Red Deer RCMP are seeking to identify and locate two female witnesses of an incident that occurred at the East 40th Pub on the night of Feb. 19, 2022.

Around 8:30 p.m., a female entered the pub and ordered a beverage. After the beverage had been left unattended, the woman returned to have a drink of her beverage. After consuming, she became lightheaded and was not able to account for a period of time.

It is believed that a substance to impair the woman was added to the drink without her knowledge.

The female was later located inside the women’s washroom by two females. These two unknown women provided her with aid, and may also have witnessed a male exiting the washroom.

The male is described as

· Caucasian

· 5’6”

· Wearing a black shirt and black toque

Red Deer RCMP are investigating this incident and would like to speak to these two witnesses.
