Red Deer RCMP and ERT execute search warrant; “distressed male who had been forcibly confined”

Red Deer, Alberta – On March 27, 2022, Red Deer RCMP were dispatched to a call of a distressed male who had been forcibly confined at a residence on Parke Avenue, Red Deer.

Red Deer RCMP identified the occurrence address and executed a search warrant with the assistance of the RCMP Emergency Response Team (ERT).

As a result of the investigation, a male was arrested and one firearm was seized from the apartment.

Todd Deschambeault (29) of Red Deer faces seven charges:

Forcible confinement

Robbery

Assault

Possession of a firearm while prohibited (x2)

Possession of an unauthorized firearm

Possession of restricted firearm with ammunition

Deschambeault has been remanded and is scheduled to appear at Red Deer Provincial Court on March 29, 2022.
