Edson, Alberta – On March 3, 2022, Edson RCMP executed a search warrant on a residence which concluded a month long investigation on a suspected drug house. RCMP officers attended the residence, located and seized a substantial amount of drugs and money, as well as drug trafficking paraphernalia. A large quantity of cigarettes missing tax labels were also located and seized. Two people have been charged in relation to these offences.
Laurie-Ann Williams (55) of Edson, Alta., has been charged with:
· Possession of a Controlled Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking X 2
· Possession of Property Obtained by the Commission of a Crime
· Illegal Possession of Cigarettes under the Tabaco and Tax Act
Darren Robert Kelly (49 ) of Edson, Alta., has been charged with:
· Possession of a Controlled Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking X 2
· Possession of Property Obtained by the Commission of a Crime
Williams and Kelly were released on an Appearance Notice and will be appearing in Edson Provincial Court on May 17, 2022.
