Edmonton Police seeking witnesses to hit-and-run pedestrian collision

Edmonton, Alberta – The Edmonton Police Service is looking for witnesses to a hit-and-run collision involving a 14-year-old pedestrian.

On Tuesday, April 12, 2022 at approximately 7:00 p.m., a 14-year-old pedestrian was crossing northbound in a marked crosswalk on the west side of the intersection of 133 Street and 137 Avenue, when he was struck by an eastbound SUV. It was reported that the male driver of the SUV stopped, exited his vehicle, and placed a blanket on the youth, before fleeing the scene prior to police arrival. The 14-year-old was transported to hospital by paramedics with serious injuries.

Major Collision Investigation Section has taken over the investigation and are seeking any witnesses. The vehicle involved is described as a green SUV which will have front end damage.
