Fredericton, New Brunswick – The Fredericton Police Force has seized over 5.5 kilograms of crystal methamphetamine, 0.5 kilograms of cocaine, multiple restricted firearms and a significant sum of cash is the largest seizure of drugs in the organization’s history.
On April 20, 2022, the Fredericton Police Drugs and Organized Crime Unit, assisted by Street Crimes, Patrols, the Explosives Disposal Unit and Forensic Identification Section, executed four CDSA warrants on an apartment in Fredericton, N.B., as well as two storage units and a vehicle.
A 40-year old man and 30-year old woman, both from Fredericton, N.B. have been arrested in connection with an ongoing investigation into drug trafficking and are facing a combined 45 criminal charges and 18 Controlled Drug and Substances Act (CDSA) charges. The two were arrested following a motor vehicle stop on the city’s southside.
Items seized include five handguns, two rifles, a shotgun, ammunition, a conducted energy weapon (taser), brass knuckles, approximately $59,000 in cash, as well as suspected crystal methamphetamine, cocaine, hydromorphone, oxycodone, morphine, acid, psilocybin (mushrooms), methylphenidate and lorazepam. The value of the seized crystal meth alone is approximately $560,000.

Kaleb Jeffrey Kennett and Tasheen Brianna Monika Cloake have both been charged with:
Possession of firearms contrary to a prohibition order
Proceeds obtained by crime over $5,000
Possession of a weapon obtained by commission of offense (stolen firearm) x2
Possession of a loaded restricted firearm
Possession of a prohibited weapon knowing its possession is unauthorized (x2)
Unauthorized possession of a prohibited firearm
Careless use of a firearm
Possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose

Mr. Kennett faces one additional charge of failing to comply with a probation order.
Kaleb Kennett and Tasheen Cloake were both held in custody and will return to court on Monday, April 25, 2022 at 1:30 p.m.
