UPDATE: Suspect in Lethbridge Sexual Assault turns himself in to Police

Lethbridge, Alberta – Amber Bahadur Khadka, who had an arrest warrant out for two counts of sexual assault, has turned himself in to Lethbridge Police.

Investigators are, however, still looking to identify the second victim and are concerned there may be additional victims. Police are asking the woman who was sexually assaulted along the 700 block of 5 Avenue South and any other victims who may have been assaulted by this subject, to come forward. As the matter is still under investigation, no further details are available at this time.

Lethbridge Police seek public’s help in locating man charged with sexual assaults

Lethbridge, Alberta – Lethbridge Police are seeking the public’s assistance to locate a male charged with sexually assaulting two women in the downtown core.

A warrant has been issued for the arrest of Amber Bahadur Khadka, 44, of Lethbridge. Khadka is charged with two counts of sexual assault.

On April 25, 2022 just after 9 p.m. police responded to the 600 block of 8 Street South after a woman reported an unknown male sexually assaulted her while she was outside have a cigarette. The incident was recorded on video surveillance and following further investigation the male was identified. During the course of the investigation police discovered a second woman had been sexually assaulted by the same male after he approached her along the 700 block of 5 Avenue South earlier in the evening. The second incident was also recorded on video surveillance.

At this time police have not been able to identify the second victim and are concerned there may be additional victims. Police are asking the woman who was sexually assaulted along the 700 block of 5 Avenue South and any other victims who may have been assaulted by this subject, to come forward.
