Lethbridge Police seek public’s help in locating male charged with fraud – ARRESTED

Lethbridge, Alberta – The Lethbridge Police arrested Jason Adam Foster without incident on Sunday, May 1, 2022. An arrest warrant had been issued in connection with a reported fraud.

The Police Service would like to thank the public and the media for their assistance in locating the Lethbridge man, whose image had been shared as part of an earlier media release.

BACKGROUND

Lethbridge, Alberta – Lethbridge Police are seeking the public’s assistance to locate a male charged with fraud.

A warrant has been issued for the arrest of Jason Adam Foster, 37, of Lethbridge. Foster is charged with fraud under $5,000.

On April 26, 2022 a man approached a home in the 2300 block of 13 Street North and asked the occupant to use their phone, as he claimed his wife was in labour at an out-of-town location and he needed to arrange with a friend for a ride there and some money. After he stated he was unable to reach his friend, he eventually left the home with an undisclosed amount of cash provided by the occupant.

Anyone with information on Foster’s whereabouts or that could assist the investigation is asked to contact police at 403-328-4444.

The investigation is ongoing in relation to multiple reports involving similar circumstances. Anyone who is approached in a similar manner, or victimized, is asked to promptly contact police at that same number and reference file #22008716.
