Saskatoon Police investigate after person injured by gunfire on Sunday afternoon

Saskatoon, Saskatchewan – A 44-year-old man is in stable condition after police responded to a report he had been injured by gunfire on Sunday afternoon.

At approximately 1:45 p.m., May 1, 2022, police responded to a residence in the 300 block of Wakaw Crescent after it was reported a person was suffering from a gunshot wound. Upon arrival, police located an injured man inside the residence. Further investigation found that a verbal altercation had taken place and a firearm was discharged, injuring a 44-year-old man. Two suspects then fled the residence prior to police arrival.

The suspects have been identified and police are actively attempting to locate them. Public assistance is not required at this time.

The victim and suspects are known to each other.
