Punnichy RCMP: Alberta males arrested, 1 kg of methamphetamine seized after report of suspicious vehicle

Raymore, Saskatchewan – On May 1, 2022 at approximately noon, Punnichy RCMP received a report of a suspicious vehicle on a property on Highway #15, near Raymore, SK.

The vehicle drove away. Officers then located it in the town of Quinton, activated their emergency lights and attempted a traffic stop. The vehicle did not stop until a second police vehicle blocked its path. The driver was then arrested.

The sole passenger of the vehicle fled on foot. He was located and arrested approximately two hours later at a business in Raymore, after a tip was received from the public.

The male dropped a bag while running from police. Officers located and seized approximately one kilogram of crystal methamphetamine. A backpack was also left at the property on Highway #15. As a result of searches of the two bags, officers located and seized illegal cigarettes, knives, batons, approximately 96 OxyContin pills and drug trafficking paraphernalia.
