Edmonton Police seize more than $500,000 in drugs following trafficking investigation; “seized more than $500,000 in drugs, a firearm and ammunition”

Edmonton, Alberta – The Edmonton Police Service (EPS) has seized more than $500,000 in drugs, a firearm and ammunition following a search warrant executed on a warehouse in northwest Edmonton.

Acting on various intelligence, the EPS Drug & Gang Enforcement (EDGE) Section conducted a search warrant on a warehouse in the area of 141 Street and 128 Avenue on Wednesday, April 13, 2022.

The warrant resulted in the seizure of the following:

82 kgs of chemicals used as a cutting agent for cocaine (Approximate street value $246,000)

3.17 kgs of cocaine (Approximate street value $169,000)

710 g of fentanyl powder (Approximate street value $106,000)

394 fentanyl pills (Approximate street value $7,800)

Automatic machine gun with a 25 full round magazine

Two full handgun magazines

A taser

Hundreds of rounds of ammunition

In addition, investigators located two sea can containers on the property, one that was being repurposed as a micro-grow for suspected cannabis or psilocybin and one that was suspected of being used for steroid production.

Officers continue to investigate.
