17-year-old youth charged with committing Indecent Act after an incident at a Regina high school

Regina, Saskatchewan – A 17 year-old male youth is facing a charge of Committing an Indecent Act after an incident at a Regina high school on Friday, June 3, 2022.

At approximately 2:15 p.m. administration from the school in the 1000 Block of College Avenue, contacted the on-site RPS School Resource Officer, to inform the officer that a female teacher had just been the victim of an indecent act. The teacher told police that a male had walked into her classroom and asked to speak with her. The two moved to a side room to have the conversation and, as the male was speaking with teacher, he started masturbating. The teacher insisted the male leave immediately. He complied and exited the school. Investigation led police to the male youth suspect who was arrested and charged. The youth is not a student at this school.

The male youth cannot be named in accordance with the provisions of the Youth Criminal Justice Act. As a result, a 17 year-old Regina male youth is charged with:

Committing an Indecent Act [173(1)(A) CC].

The male youth will make his first appearance on this charge in Regina Provincial Youth Court on July 27, 2022 at 9:30 a.m.
