Regina Police charge 75-year-old male with Second Degree Murder, Regina’s 5th Homicide of 2022

Regina, Saskatchewan – A 75 year-old male has been charged with Second Degree Murder in connection with a death investigation in the 1300 block of Oxford Bay, Regina. This is the fifth homicide in Regina in 2022.

On Friday, June 17, 2022, just before 2:00 p.m., patrol members were dispatched to the 1300 block of Oxford Bay. Officers arrived and located the body of an adult female, who was confirmed deceased. The officers secured the scene and requested a Coroner as well as additional police resources. Investigation led to the arrest of a 75 year-old male, who was subsequently charged.

The deceased female has been identified and her next-of-kin have been notified. At this time, the family has asked the Regina Police Service not to release the name of their deceased family member.

Seventy-five year-old Kenneth Glen HUBICK, of Regina, is charged with:

– Second-degree murder, section 235(1) CC; and

– Indignity to a Dead Body, section 182(b) CC.

HUBICK made his first court appearance on these charges in Provincial Court at 9:30 a.m. on Monday, June 20, 2022.
