SUV versus motorcycle collision on Alberta Highway 1A claims Calgary male

Morley, Alberta – RCMP have completed the scene investigation and Highway 1A near Branch Road west of Morley has reopened to traffic.

The cause of the collision remains under investigation, however, from the initial scene examination it is believed an eastbound motorcycle lost control and collided with a westbound SUV. The 29 year old male driver from Calgary who was the sole occupant of the motorcycle, was declared deceased at the scene. The two occupants of the SUV were not physically injured.

The RCMP extend our condolences to the family and friends of the deceased.

Cochrane RCMP on scene of fatal motor vehicle collision

Morley, Alta. – Cochrane RCMP are currently on scene of a fatal motor vehicle collison on Highway 1a and Branch Road near Morley . Traffic in both directions has been affected while officers investigate this tragic incident. Officers anticipate being on scene for several hours.

Information about those involved will not be release until next of kin notifications have been performed.
