Brooks, Alberta – On June 22, 2022, at approximately 11:37 a.m., Brooks RCMP received a report of an unresponsive female in an apartment complex in Brooks. Unfortunately, upon officer’s arrival, 30-year-old Tamara Debbie Soosay of Brooks was deceased.
The Alberta RCMP Major Crimes Unit were called in to investigate. As a result of their investigation, RCMP have arrested and charged Mat Bangoang Choap (35) of Brooks with:
· Second Degree Murder
Choap has been remanded in custody with his next appearance set for June 27, 2022 at Medicine Hat Provincial Court.
