Drumheller RCMP arrest male and female for drug trafficking; “significant seizure of fentanyl”

Drumheller, Alberta – On June 27, 2022, at around midnight, Drumheller RCMP received a complaint of suspicious activity at a local hotel. While investigating the complaint, two suspects were arrested for possession of a controlled substance. A search of the suspects and their vehicle resulted in a significant seizure of fentanyl. Police located 273 grams of fentanyl, as well as 7 grams of methamphetamine. As well, an imitation firearm was seized.

Daniel Mulder (53) and Carrie Remington (41), both of Red Deer, Alta., were charged with possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking.

Mulder and Remington were released on an undertaking to appear in Drumheller Provincial Court on Aug. 19, 2022.
