Fort McMurray, Alberta – On February 25, 2022 the Wood Buffalo RCMP received a complaint regarding a sexual assault. As a result of the investigation Vern James Janvier (54) was arrested on June 3, 2022.
Vern James Janvier, a resident of Janvier was charged with the following:
· Sexual Assault (x2)
· Breach of Trust (x2)
· Extortion without a firearm
Mr. Janvier’s matters are currently before the courts and he is scheduled to appear in Fort McMurray Provincial Court on August 24, 2022.
