Buffalo Lake Settlement, Alberta – On June 13, 2022 Levi Cardinal was reported kidnapped from a residence at the Buffalo Lake Settlement. Shortly after the initial complaint, RCMP located a vehicle believed to be related to the incident. After a short pursuit and the deployment of a tire deflation device, RCMP with the assistance of an RCMP Police Dog were successful in arresting two occupants a short distance away. On July 14, 2022, Levi Cardinal was located with minor injuries. The circumstances around his release remain under investigation. As a result of the investigation by Boyle RCMP and the Alberta RCMP Major Crimes Unit, the RCMP have charged the two suspects arrested earlier and are looking for a third.
Damion Quintal (37), of Lac La Biche has been charged with:
· Break and Enter (x2)
· Robbery with a firearm
· Forcible Confinement
· Assault with a Weapon
· Discharge a firearm with intent
· Disguise with intent
· Possession of a weapon contrary to order.
Quintal has been remanded in custody with his next court appearance set for July 26, 2022 at Boyle Provincial Court.
Lindsay Boucher (37), of Lac La Biche, has been charged with:
· Break and Enter
· Robbery with a firearm
· Forcible confinement
Boucher has been remanded in custody with her next court appearance set for July 18, 2022 at Vegreville Provincial Court.
Lloyd Boudreau (27), of Buffalo Lake, has been charged with:
· Break and Enter
· Robbery with a firearm
· Assault with a Weapon
· Possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose
· Forcible confinement.
RCMP have yet to locate Boudreau and have issued a warrant for his arrest. Boudreau also has an outstanding Canada wide warrant for parole violation. RCMP are asking for the publics assistance in locating him.
Lloyd Boudreau is described as:
· Medium complexion
· 5’7”
· 185 pounds
· Black hair
· Brown eyes
· Tattoos on arms, neck, and face

Buffalo Lake Metis Settlement, Alberta – On July 13, 2022, at approximately 9:30 p.m. Boyle RCMP received a report that 29-year-old Levi Cardinal had been kidnapped from a residence on Buffalo Lake Metis Settlement. The Alberta RCMP Major Crimes Unit has been deployed to assist with the investigation. The investigation into this occurrence is ongoing. Unfortunately, Levi Cardinal has not been located.
