Edson RCMP arrest and charge female twice for stolen property; “found to be in possession of stolen identification documents”

Edson, Alberta – On July 10, 2022, Edson RCMP received a call regarding a possible intoxicated driver in the area of Peers in Yellowhead County.

Members attended and located the suspect vehicle, which was determined stolen out of Edmonton. The adult female driver was arrested and was found to be in possession of stolen identification documents.

Emily Keavney (22) of Edson was charged with:

. Possession of Stolen Property over $5000

. Illegal Possession of Government Documents

. One charge under the Traffic Safety Act

Keavney was released by a Justice of the Peace to appear in court in Edson on August 2, 2022.

On July 12, 2022, Edson RCMP were called to investigate the theft of a bicycle from 50 Street in Edson. A review of the surveillance video identified Emily Keavney as the suspect.
Keavney was located, arrested and charged with Theft Under $5000.

Keavney was released by a Justice of the Peace to attend court in Edson on August 2, 2022 for this charge as well.
