Calgary Police investigate shooting in Highland Park

Calgary, Alberta – A shooting this afternoon in the northeast community of Highland Park has left one person injured.

At approximately 2:20 p.m., police were called to the 4600 block of Greenview Drive N.E., for reports of a shooting. First responders located an injured man near by. It is believed the man was suffering from gunshot wounds and that his associates were attempting to transport him to hospital in a personal vehicle. The victim was transported to hospital by EMS in stable condition.

The investigation remains in the early stages, however, at this time it is not believed to be a random incident.
