Edmonton Police seek public’s assistance locating suspect in shooting, Isaiah Cote Soffels, 19

Edmonton, Alberta – The Edmonton Police Service is seeking the public’s assistance in locating a male suspect following a shooting in West Edmonton on July 7, 2022.

On Thursday, July 7, 2022, at approximately 5:20 p.m., West Division police officers responded to a weapons complaint in the area of 151 Street and 101 Avenue. Upon arrival police located an injured male in his 20s. He was treated and transported by paramedics to the hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries.

A male suspect has since been identified in this incident. Isaiah Cote Soffels, 19, is wanted on multiple warrants including attempted murder with a firearm, aggravated assault, possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose and possession of a prohibited firearm.

Cote Soffel’s whereabouts are unknown but he is believed to have ties to Calgary. He is considered armed and dangerous and should not be approached.
