Morris RCMP arrest 2 after multiple break and enters

Morris, Manitoba – On July 9, 2022, Morris RCMP executed a search warrant on Main Street in the Town of Morris. As a result of the search, police seized ammunition, a firearm, counterfeit currency, stolen ID and personal documents belonging to other individuals, along with lawn equipment, multiple power tools, over 50 bicycles and a small amount of drugs.

Two occupants at the residence were arrested and charged with the following:

Jolene Elizabeth Obara, 46, of Morris was charged with 11 counts of Possession of Property Obtained by Crime.

Jodie Leigh Sparrow, 47, of Morris was arrested and charged with 1 count of Possession of Property Obtained by Crime and 1 count of Theft of Credit Card

It was subsequently determined that these individuals are linked to numerous break and enters in the surrounding area between May and July 2022. It was also determined that some seized items were being sold online through various buy and sell websites.

The investigation is ongoing. The RCMP believes more charges may occur as the investigation continues and more victims may be identified. If you have experienced similar thefts in the area, you are asked to call Morris RCMP at 204-746-5335.
