Prince Albert RCMP investigating fatal collision on Saskatchewan Highway 11 south of MacDowall

MacDowell, Saskatchewan – On July 26, 2022 at approximately 8:40 p.m., Prince Albert RCMP received a report of a collision on Highway #11 south of MacDowall.

Investigation determined that two pickup trucks collided. The driver and the sole occupant of the northbound pickup truck, a 16-year-old female was pronounced deceased at the scene.

There were three people in the southbound pickup truck. The driver of the southbound pickup truck, a 46-year-old male was pronounced deceased at the scene.

The adult male passenger was transported to hospital with what are described as serious injuries. A child under the age of five was transported to hospital by STARS with what are described as serious injuries. We do not have an update on their condition.

Rosthern RCMP along with Prince Albert Fire Department, Rosthern Fire and Rescue and MacDowall Volunteer Fire Department were all on scene.

Highway #11 was closed during initial investigation but has since re-opened. Prince Albert RCMP continue to investigate with the assistance of a Saskatchewan RCMP Collision Reconstructionist.
