Airdrie RCMP investigating e-scooter collision; “youth was reportedly struck by a vehicle”

Airdrie, Alberta – On July 27, 2022, at 9:20 p.m., Airdrie RCMP and Airdrie EMS responded to the Midtown neighbourhood for an injury collision. A youth was reportedly struck by a vehicle while operating an electric scooter on a sidewalk. The youth was transported by EMS to urgent care and has since been released having sustained minor injuries. Alcohol is not believed to be a factor in the collision. The investigation is ongoing.
