St. Albert RCMP investigate stolen electric bike, release suspect photo

St. Albert, Alberta – On July 26, 2022, at approximately 7:50 p.m. St. Albert RCMP received a complaint of a stolen electric bike, which was parked on the sidewalk outside Value Buds on St. Albert Trail. At 7:05 p.m., the owner of the electric bike went into the business for only a couple of minutes, and when the owner exited the business the bike was gone. An unknown male suspect was seen on video surveillance scanning the area around the business, then getting on the electric bike and rode away with it.

The male suspect is described as:

· 18-25 years old

· Dark complexion

· Wearing army boots, camo printed shorts, a happy face t-shirt and a Canadian Flag ball cap.

The stolen electric bike is described as:

· Rad Runner Electric Knee Bicycle (brand new)

· Army green in colour

· Valued at $2000

St. Albert RCMP are asking for the public’s assistance in identifying the male suspect who stole the electric bike. If anyone has information regarding this investigation, they are asked to contact St. Albert RCMP at 780-458-7700.
