Grande Prairie County, Alberta – Grande Prairie RCMP and tow trucks have cleared the scene. The Smoky bridge is now passable in both directions. No serious injuries reported to either driver.
BACKGROUND
Grande Prairie County, Alberta – On August 6, 2022 at 2:05 a.m, Grande Prairie RCMP, along with emergency services, responded to a two vehicle collision on Highway 43 at the Smoky bridge near Township Road 722a.
Both vehicles were semi trucks hauling trailers who have lost their loads, resulting in significant debris on the roadway.

Smoky bridge will be impassable while RCMP investigate the collision. Motorists are asked to avoid the area.
An update will be provided once the area is clear.
