Woman arrested and charged after two dogs stolen at knifepoint, police return dogs to owner

Toronto, Ontario – The Toronto Police Service would like to update the public on two dogs that were reported stolen at knifepoint.

On Thursday, September 1, 2022, at approximately 11 p.m., two dogs were being walked in the Yonge Street and Dundas Street area.

On Friday, September 9, 2022, members of the 52 Division Major Crime Unit located both dogs in the area of Queen Street East and Bond Street. Both dogs appeared to be in good health and were returned back to their owner unharmed.

Angela Dupuis, 36, of Toronto was arrested. She has been charged with:

Robbery with an offensive weapon

Possession of Property Obtained by Crime

A male suspect is still outstanding, and officers are continuing the investigation.

The man is described as white, 30 to 40 years, with a medium build. He was last seen wearing a black baseball hat, and having multiple tattoos on his body including his neck area. he maybe riding a black bicycle.

September 8, 2022

Toronto, Ontario – The Toronto Police Service is requesting the public’s assistance locating two dogs that were reported stolen at knifepoint.

It is reported that:

on Thursday, September 1, 2022, at approximately 11 p.m., two dogs were in being walked in the Yonge Street and Dundas Street area

the victim was confronted by a man and a woman not known to them

the man produced a knife and took the victim’s dogs

The first dog is described as a Golden Brown Shih Tzu named “Mari” that was in a stroller. The second dog is a black Scottish Terrier named “Yurield.”

Suspect #1 is described as a male, white, 25-years-old, black hair, wearing a baseball hat.

Suspect #2 is described as a female, white, in her 30s, brown hair and was wearing a light green long sleeve shirt and sweat pants.
