Another Canadian biker killed after collision with moose on highway

Springdale, Newfoundland and Labrador – Springdale RCMP is investigating a fatal collision that occurred on the Trans-Canada Highway near South Brook on Saturday evening involving a motorcycle and a moose.

Shortly after 8:30 p.m., police received the report of the collision and attended the scene. A motorcycle had collided with a moose that was crossing the highway. The lone occupant of the motorcycle died at the scene. Following the collision between the motorcycle and the moose, a second collision occurred between the same moose and a pickup truck. The occupants of the truck were uninjured.

An Analyst with RCMP Traffic Services attended the scene.

The Office of the Chief Medical Examiner is engaged and the investigation is continuing.

Leduc RCMP respond to fatal motor vehicle collision involving a moose

Leduc, Alberta – On Aug. 13, 2022, at approximately 8:30 p.m., Leduc RCMP responded to a motor vehicle collision between a sedan and a moose, which occurred on Highway 21 at Highway 625 in Leduc County.

As a result of this collision, the female driver, a 59-year–old female of Leduc County, was declared deceased at the scene.

Two other occupants of the vehicle received minor injuries.

Our thoughts and prayers are with the family and friends of the deceased.
