Fort Saskatchewan RCMP investigate early morning convenience store robbery

Fort Saskatchewan, Alberta – On September 12, 2022 at 1:48 a.m., Fort Saskatchewan RCMP received a complaint of a robbery that had just occurred at a convenience store on 95a Avenue in Westpark, Fort Saskatchewan.

It was reported that the suspect entered the store and brandished a tire iron, demanding all of the money in the cash register. The suspect then asked for a bag from the clerk to put the money in and walked out of the store. There were no physical injuries reported.

Alberta RCMP Police Dog Services and Edmonton Police Service Air1 assisted with the search for the lone suspect, who was not located.

Fort Saskatchewan RCMP are asking for the public’s assistance in identifying the suspect, who is described as:

· Appeared to be a male

· 5’8” tall

· Wearing a black coat with white lettering on left chest

· Black toque with a red band on it

· Green gloves

· Dark pants
