Calgary, Alberta – Police have located the high-risk offender that was recently released into the community and was subsequently wanted on warrants.
Paul Algino BARRETT, 23, of Calgary has been arrested for breaching parole conditions and is now in police custody.

BACKGROUND
Calgary, Alberta – A high-risk offender who was released to the Calgary community last week is now wanted on warrants for breaching his release conditions.
Paul Algino BARRETT, 23, was bound by strict probation conditions upon his release on Wednesday, Sept. 21, 2022, however we have since been unable to locate him. After exhausting all options to locate BARRETT, he is now wanted on warrants for failing to comply with his probation order.
BARRETT is described as male, 6’1” tall, and 160 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes.

BARRETT was released last week on a three-year probation order after he served a two-year sentence for break and enter with intent. BARRETT has two additional previous convictions for break and enter with intent, which were believed to be sexually motivated and random in nature. Other convictions include weapons offences and breaches of court orders. All of his crimes have occurred in the Calgary area.

Calgary, Alberta – In the interest of public safety, the Calgary Police Service is issuing the following public information and warning in regards to the release of a high risk offender.
Paul Algino BARRETT, 23, was released to the Calgary community, today, Wednesday, Sept. 21, 2022, after serving a two-year sentence for break and enter with intent.
BARRETT has two previous convictions for break and enter with intent, which were believed to be sexually motivated and random in nature. Other convictions include weapons offences and breaches of court orders. All of his crimes have occurred in the Calgary area.
BARRETT is subject to a three-year probation order and will be closely monitored by the Calgary Police Service High Risk Offender Program.
He is described as a Black male, 6’1” tall, and 160 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes.
The Calgary Police Service is issuing this information and warning after careful deliberation and consideration of all related issues, including privacy concerns, in the belief that it is clearly in the public interest to inform the members of the community of the release of BARRETT.
Members of the public are advised that the intent of the process is to enable members of the public to take suitable precautionary measures and not to embark on any form of vigilante action.
