Gull Lake, Alberta – On Sept. 27, 2022 at 4:35 p.m., Blackfalds RCMP and emergency services responded to a two vehicle collision on Highway 12 West of Lacombe.
A truck travelling West on Highway 12 collided with a motorcycle travelling east. Unfortunately, the 68-year-old driver of the motorcycle, a resident of Red Deer, was declared deceased. The 30-year-old driver of the pick up truck, a Lacombe resident, a was not injured.
The RCMP collision analyst attended the scene. Traffic was diverted for several hours while scene examination and clean up occurred. The area is now open for travel.
The RCMP continue to investigate this collision.
