Cochrane RCMP investigating suspicious person and asking for public assistance – sketch of person of interest – “11-year-old female was walking in the area of White Avenue in Bragg Creek”

Bragg Creek, Alberta – On Sept. 19, 2022, Cochrane RCMP received a report of a suspicious person.

Cochrane RCMP’s investigation indicates that at approximately 4 p.m. on Sept. 19, 2022, an 11-year-old female was walking in the area of White Avenue in Bragg Creek when an older male in a grey Dodge Ram pickup truck pulled onto the grass next to her. From inside the pickup truck, the male spoke to the 11-year-old female in what is believed to have been an attempt to lure her into his vehicle. The youth continued walking without interacting with the male and the male drove away.

A sketch of the male is attached and he is described as:

• Approximately 50-60 yrs of age

• Thinning short hair – possibly grey to brown

• Long beard

• Wearing a blue t-shirt and sweat pants

The vehicle is described as:

• Grey

• Older model Dodge Ram pickup truck

• Dent in driver’s side door
