The Pas RCMP execute warrant and seize drugs

The Pas, Manitoba – On September 27, 2022, as part of an ongoing investigation, the RCMP including, The Pas Detachment, The Pas General Investigation Section (GIS), Police Dog Services (PDS), Remotely Piloted Aircraft Systems(RPAS), and the Emergency Response Team, along with the Manitoba First Nations Police Service, executed a search warrant at a residence on Cowley Avenue, on Opaskwayak Cree Nation.

Officers seized approximately 225 grams of cocaine and a pellet gun.

Five adults were arrested at the scene.

Three were released without charges.

Beatrice Mclaughlin, 28, of Opaskwayak Cree Nation has been charged with Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking and is scheduled to appear in court on December 13, 2022.

Leo McGinnis, 52, of Opaskwayak Cree Nation has been charged with Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking and several firearm offences. He was remanded into custody.

Investigation is ongoing.
